Master’s Level Internships
Washington County School Based Services – Counseling
In Washington County School Based services, Ozark Guidance clients are treated within the school setting in an attempt to limit disruption to the education process. These children and adolescents receive individual therapy, family therapy, and case management in an attempt to help them cope with stressors related to family issues, behavior issues, and emotional disturbances.
School Based Services of Washington County has an opening for one Master of Counseling student (first placement) for the spring 2019 semester. The students will be assigned to one or two experienced school based clinicians to work collaboratively in providing counseling and therapy services. Students will gain experience in providing individual and family counseling services. The students must have reliable transportation. Experience working with children and adolescents and a desire to work in the field of school-based services after graduation is preferred. Internship hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Western Benton County School Based Services – Counseling
Children and adolescents in our School Based Services are students at public schools in Siloam Springs, Gentry, Gravette, or Decatur who are currently active clients of Ozark Guidance. These clients are treated by Mental Health Professionals and Paraprofessionals within the school setting in an effort to minimize the disruption of the school day <br>
The Western Benton County School Based Services department is looking for two master’s level counseling students for the spring 2019 semester. Internship/Practicum hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The internship will include working within our School Based Services with students between the ages of 6 and 17 years and their families, and will also include providing therapeutic interventions as outlined in the Master Treatment Plan and completing clinical documentation. A desire to work with children and adolescents is preferred.
Reliable transportation is a must.
Rogers Therapeutic Day Treatment – Counseling
Therapeutic Day Treatment is a treatment setting that provides children and adolescents therapeutic services in an academic setting. These children and adolescents attend Day Treatment in lieu of traditional public school and they work on issues such as anger management, self control, and coping skills while also receiving treatment for emotional disturbances. Therapeutic Day Treatment is best suited for an intern who has a few days or so per week to invest in the site. Look forward to doing Individual and Family Therapy, Group Therapy, multidisciplinary staffings, and treatment planning, all within a great team atmosphere and within a school setting on our Rogers Ozark Guidance campus.

Rogers School Based Services – Counseling
School Based services are provided to children and adolescents in the school setting on the campus of Rogers schools. Individual, group, and family therapy services are provided to children and adolescents in this school setting. <br>
There is currently an opening for one Master of Counseling intern for the spring 2019 semester. This placement will be in the Rogers public schools. Internship hours vary but occur Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Reliable transportation is a must. A desire to work with children and adolescents is preferred.
Bachelor’s Level Internships
Washington County School Based Services – BSW
School Based Services of Washington County has two openings for a Bachelor of Social Work student for the spring 2019 semester. Interns will work directly with a School Based social worker in a Springdale elementary school. Internship applicants must have reliable transportation. Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. Internship hours are flexible, but will occur Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Rogers School Based Services – BSW
School Based services are provided to children and adolescents in the school setting on the campus of Rogers schools. Individual, group, and family therapy services are provided to children and adolescents in this school setting.
There is currently an opening for one Bachelor of Social Work intern for the spring 2019 semester. This placement will be in Rogers public schools. Internship hours vary but occur Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Reliable transportation is a must. A desire to work with children and adolescents is preferred.
Springdale Therapeutic Day Treatment – BSW
Therapeutic Day Treatment is a treatment setting that provides children and adolescents therapeutic services in an academic setting. These children and adolescents attend Day Treatment in lieu of traditional public school and they work on issues such as anger management, self control, and coping skills while also receiving treatment for emotional disturbances. </p>
Therapeutic Day Treatment is best suited for an intern who has a few days or so per week to invest in the site. Interns provide individual interventions with the students, psychoeducational group work, and assistance with academic needs, all within a great team atmosphere and within a school setting on our main Springdale Ozark Guidance campus. Therapeutic Day Treatment has an opening for one Bachelor of Social Work student for the spring 2019 semester. Internship hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
