Chronic stress can double a person's risk of having a heart attack.

Services to Business

Early in the 1980s, Ozark Guidance started a new division called Professional Counseling and Consulting to specifically address the needs of our local and regional businesses and governmental entities.  In those formative years the vision of “creating mentally healthy workplaces” primarily took the form of corporate training and the availability of employee counseling services.

In 2000, we reorganized our business and industry services and launched Guidance EAP.  Based on accepted guidelines from the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA), Guidance EAP became the first bonafide EAP to call NW Arkansas home.

Our corporate consulting has expanded as well, and we now offer consultation and assessments on a wide variety of behavioral and emotional issues in the workplace. Through Guidance University we make available a great number of  “people skill” trainings, e.g. diversity, conflict management, emotional intelligence, etc.
