    "According to a recent survey, less than one-third of adults believe a person with mental illness can recover. At Ozark Guidance we know better. The opportunity for recovery from mental illness is a reality. Mental health disorders and substance abuse conditions are every bit as debilitating, and just as treatable, as other serious health conditions such diabetes or cancer. Our mission is to assist individuals and families with the tools, support, and guidance that they need to successfully complete a healthy recovery. We also know that mental health recovery is more likely realized in a society of acceptance. Therefore,we are committed to educating our community about the promise, treatment and the truth of mental health recovery. I am very proud to be a part of Ozark Guidance. This is an organization of the highest quality dedicated to the people we serve and the communities we live in."

    Founded in 1970, Ozark Guidance has a volunteer Governing Board of Directors that is responsible for the overall direction of Ozark Guidance with Tom Petrizzo as President and CEO.  The Governing Board is made up of area leaders representing the Ozark Guidance service area of Washington, Benton, Madison, and Carroll Counties.
